200K Streams for "Underneath the Stars"
Hitting 200,000 streams on Underneath the Stars feels surreal. The idea that this song has been played so many times by so many different people is humbling. If you’ve listened, shared, or added it to a playlist, I just want to say thank you. It means everything to me.
This song has been a long time coming. The process wasn’t easy, and it definitely wasn’t quick. Underneath the Stars was one of those tracks that wouldn’t settle for simple fixes or shortcuts. It forced me to dig deeper, take my time, and really give it the care it needed to feel right.
That level of surrender taught me more about myself as a creator than I expected.

When I was putting together something special to celebrate Underneath the Stars reaching 200,000 streams, I didn’t think I’d end up pulling out an old VHS player. But as it turns out, that’s exactly where the idea took me.
The end result is a playful, nostalgic trailer that feels a bit like flipping through an old photo album, if that photo album came with grainy footage and plenty of laughs.
I spent an afternoon digging through dusty boxes of tapes from my childhood, finding moments I hadn’t thought about in years. Random prom videos, basketball games, family gatherings where the fashion choices are very much of the 80s and 90s (think big baggy damaged denim overload). These old clips felt like snapshots of a simpler time, filled with familiar faces and memories I didn’t even realize I or my dad captured.
I think if this process reminded me of anything, it’s the importance of leaving room for play and reflection. Whether it’s going back through childhood tapes, joking about old fashion trends, or just finding a way to be a little kinder to your past self, there’s value in not overthinking it all.
